Little Makalolo lies in one of Hwange’s most ecologically-diverse areas, where a large number of solar driven waterholes attracts game from far and wide, and with one in front of camp, wildlife activity can even be enjoyed from the pool or your breakfast table. Game drives, walks and cultural activities sometimes end at a “pizza stop” at the productive Madison Pan.
Little Makalolo is an intimate and cosy bush camp without the frills and spills, allowing visitors to intimately enjoy the nature and its surrounds.
Nestled in a dappled tree-line, its six tents (including a family unit), are connected to the main area by teak walkways, where a towering false mopane tree shades a separate dining and living area with views of the much-frequented waterhole.
Situated in a private concession in the best location in Hwange, Linkwasha is located very near the famed Ngamo Plains, where wildlife gathers in numbers during summer. This only adds to the excellent year-round viewing from the camp itself; Linkwasha overlooks a pan that is a magnet for wildlife seeking to quench its thirst.
Accommodation: The camp is an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors and Ndebele culture, its nine luxurious tents (eight twin and one family) overlooking the scenic plain.
The main area includes various multi-level decks, amongst them, a cosy library complete with fireplace and shaded salas surrounding an inviting pool. Our nearby romantic Star Bed looks onto a productive waterhole.
Ruckomechi Camp rises along the banks of the Zambezi River, gazing out towards Zambia’s evocative escarpment. Its broad-canopied ana trees create glorious shade throughout the camp and are much loved by the elephants for their rich, nutritious seeds.
Activities include vehicle or on foot safari, and boating and canoeing offering a different perspective of the area.
Mana Pools offers the experienced safari goer superb safari experiences and is considered a top photographic destination for elephant and Africa's predators.
